It's All About Prep

Preparation is the key to an even, long lasting tan. Failing to prepare may cause unexpected results, as preparation is equal to application! That being said, we don’t want to overwhelm you. This is a guide for best results and it is possible to have a terrific tan without following every detail. If you are unsure, or have any questions, please contact us. We are happy to explain the process, and even have “cheats” to work around almost any issues.

Before Your Tan

Exfoliating & Shaving

Exfoliating and shaving should be done 12-24 hours prior to getting a spray tan. This allows the skin to return to its normal pH level. It is important to exfoliate using a non-oil based exfoliant that will not leave behind residue. Exfoliating is the key to an even, long lasting spray tan.

Be Natural

Do not wear makeup during your spray session if you plan on tanning your face as well. Do not apply face or body moisturizer. Deodorant can also act as a barrier to the spray tan solution (and in some cases, can even turn colors), which will result in patchy underarms.

Ideally showering should be done at least 12 hours before your appointment, but not less than 4 hours before. Avoid Dial, Irish Spring, Lever 2000, or in-shower moisturizers/oils. These products will leave a residue on the skin that acts like a barrier, preventing absorption of the tanning spray.

Make us The Last Stop

Schedule hair, nail, spa, or waxing appointments at least 24 hours prior to your tan. Avoid working out or any activity that causes sweating at least four hours prior to your appointment

Appointment Day

What to Wear

The majority of clients prefer to not wear anything at all for no tan line results. We do offer disposable undergarments.
We require a bottom covering, such as boxers or briefs.

Stay Dry

Remain dry for the 6-8 hours following your appointment. Avoid sweating or getting wet until your first rinse off.

Be Comfortable

After your tan, wear loose fitting , dark comfortable clothing. Tight garments like jeans, undergarments, socks and tennis shoes can rub against your fresh tan and create lines.

After your spray tan session, be sure to follow the rinse off timeline that was discussed. Take short, warm (not hot) shower. Pat skin dry and moisturize.
